Pre-pear is owned and operated by Daphne Blacker. Daphne is a trained Whole Foods Chef and Certified Holistic Health Coach with over 20 years experience as a teacher, lecturer, private chef,recipe developer and tester.
She has taught in adult education programs, private homes, health clinics and The New England School of Acupuncture as part of their nutrition course. She worked for Natural Health Magazine as their recipe tester, developed recipes for several cooking columns and contributed to two of their cookbooks.
Daphne has lectured at many venues such as: The New England School of Acupuncture, Metro West Medical Center,Integrated Children's Therapies, as part of a panel on Women's Health at a local community center and at a local gardening club. She lectures about whole foods; how to integrate them into everyday cooking, how to plan menus to include more variety, wholesome nourishment and about looking at these foods as an exciting, trendy, healthful addition to a daily diet - never as deprivation!
Daphne has always loved talking about healthy food, thinking about food and, of course, cooking. Over the years she has introduced whole foods to many people and helped to make it an integral part of their lives.
